How to work a Ductless system Remote
Our example is from a Bryant Evolution series remote, see part 1 for a Daikin remote. Check your system manual for you system specific options. We will be going over the basic operation modes and when to use them. Not all remotes are the same, but for the most part they have similar features and buttons.
To use the remote controller, aim the transmitter at the indoor unit. The remote control must be synchronized with the system prior to use. Sync remote controls within 6.5ft from the unit(see instruction manual for how to sync). If there is anything to block signals between the unit and the remote control the unit will not operate.
Be sure that the system is ON. The remote will still have a display even when off. Press the button once to start and once to stop. The button on the remote will display ON when the air conditioner is on.
The +/- button increases or decreases the temperature setting on the air conditioning unit.

Note for Multi System
When more than one indoor unit is operating, priority is given to the first unit that was turned on.
In this case, set the units that are tuned on later to the same operation mode as the first unit.
Otherwise, they will enter the standby state, and the Operation lamp will flash: this does not indicate malfunction.
